| I'm a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult and Older Adult Psychiatry (dual Certificate of Completion of Training, CCT). I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) since February 2013. My main interests in psychiatry are neuro-psychiatric disorders, epidemiology of mental illness, mental illness representation in media, neuro-developmental disorders (adult ADHD and autism) and physical health in mental illness. I'm also interested in cultural aspects of psychiatry and management of mental health problems in refugees and people exposed to trauma during conflict and war. I'm an Honorary Senior Lecturer and involved in the teaching of medical students (as an OSCE assessor and Problem Based Learning PBL Tutor in University of East Anglia). I regularly give lectures and seminars on mental health problems in adults and older adults. I have Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education from the University of East Anglia and I am interested and involved in using online platforms to deliver teaching and training to professionals working in Low and Middle-income Countries. |
